The Scottish Amateur Football Association was founded in 1909 and formed to legislate for and to foster the game of football as played by amateurs. The SAFA is a truly national association with members in all areas of Scotland from the Shetlands through the Highlands and Islands to the Borders catering for open age adult amateur football. History The Association was founded in 1909 with three original members, Queen''s Park FC, Glasgow & District FP League and the Schools Association. Cup Competitions The Association organises various cup competitions at National and District level as follows;
- The Soccer World Scottish Amateur Cup
- The Scottish Amateur Sunday Trophy
- The West of Scotland Amateur Cup
- The East of Scotland Amateur Cup
- The North of Scotland Amateur Cup
- The South of Scotland Amateur Cup
- The North of Tay Amateur Cup
- The Fife Amateur Cup
- The Highland Amateur Cup
