Avoch retained the Highland Amateur Cup in fine style with by crushing their opponents Point 5-0. Avoch got off to a flier when striker Bruce McCraw found the back of the net after only 4 minutes with a fine finish. Point tried hard to get into the game, but they rarely troubled the Avoch defence and when the inevitable 2nd goal came from the right foot of Keith Mason in the 35th minute the game was over as a contest.
Further second half goals came from McCraw in the 74th minute, Gordy Morrison in the 79th minute with a well taken lobbed finish and the last goal of the game, came from Bruce McCraw in the 85th minute to complete his hat trick. Bruce McCraw's fine performance saw him awarded both man of match awards.
Avoch are only the second team to retain the Highland Amateur cup and they will be strong favourites to win the competition next year and make it 3 in a row.
